What Happens During a 1-on-1 Math Tutoring Session?
A 60-minute APRISE session opens with a quick check-in on the week, moves into targeted teaching on the current skill, then guided practice where your child does the thinking out loud. It closes with a short recap and a small practice set to lock the skill in before next time. Your weekly written update follows.
Minute 1–5 — The Check-In
What happened in class this week? What's coming up? A two-minute conversation tells us more about what to teach today than any diagnostic test.
