Our Mission
Every child deserves the chance to learn with curiosity, confidence, and joy. At APRISE Learning, our mission is to make that possible through hands-on STEM and financial literacy education.
Our Story: Born from a Mother's Vision, Built for Every Child's Future
The Birth of APRISE Learning
A Journey to Transform Education
APRISE Learning grew out of a personal journey. As a mother, I watched my own children—bright, curious, and eager to learn—struggle in a system that often overlooked their potential. Too many kids, especially those from underserved backgrounds, fall behind not because they lack ability, but because the system doesn’t give them the tools, support, and confidence they need.
For me, it wasn’t just about grades. It was about their confidence, curiosity, and future opportunities. I couldn’t accept that these barriers were “just the way things are.” That belief is what inspired me to create APRISE Learning.
A Mission to Bridge the Gap
Through my journey from Armenia to the United States, and with the teaching experience I gained at Columbia and Northwestern, I saw firsthand how traditional K-12 systems too often leave gaps in core skills. Math, science, coding, and financial literacy—subjects essential for today’s world—are frequently taught in ways that don’t connect, don’t inspire, and don’t stick.
APRISE Learning was built to change that. Our mission is simple: to give every child a fair chance by combining hands-on learning with real-world problem-solving. We focus on turning learning struggles into moments of pride, where students gain not only knowledge but also the confidence to keep moving forward.
A Community Built on Inclusivity
We believe learning is more powerful when it happens in a community. At APRISE Learning, students come from different backgrounds, but they share one thing in common: the chance to learn in a space where they feel seen, supported, and challenged.
Our programs go beyond tutoring. We teach not only math, science, and coding, but also life skills like financial literacy, resilience, and critical thinking. Students don’t just memorize—they learn how to face challenges head-on, how to solve problems creatively, and how to grow into leaders who can make a difference.
